چکیده

Abstract The paper focuses on implementing the wall model developed by Manhart, in Reynolds Averaged Navier - Stokes (RANS) turbulence models used field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). This considers influence streamwise pressure gradient addition to existing usual CFD codes. In present work, two RANS numerical simulations are carried out using k-ω Shear Stress Transport (SST) an asymmetric diffuser geometry. One simulation is implementation Manhart SST model, and other performed standard formulation model. compared with experimental measurements made installation. a free, open-source tool, Code_Saturne. comparisons between data good agreement boundary layer flow inside diffuser. had faster convergence resulting shorter time.

Numerical Investigations on the Effect of Pulsating Pressure on Improvement of Formability in Hydroforming of Bent Tube by FEM

In this paper, hydroforming process of bent tubes in T-shaped die is studied for pulsating and linear pressure paths by the finite element method. Forming Limit Diagrams (FLDs) and thickness distribution curves are used to investigate the effect of pulsating pressure on hydroforming process. In addition, the obtained numerical results are compared with experimental results of hydroforming of st...

3-D Numerical Simulations of Rotating and Pulsating Relativistic Stars

A summary of new 3-D numerical simulations of relativistic stars is presented, which were done within the NASA Neutron Star Grand Challenge project. A numerical code that evolves both the hydrodynamics and the spacetime is used to study pulsating stars, emission of gravitational radiation, rotation and hydrodynamical shocks in neutron star formation. We obtain the first normal mode frequencies ...

Gradient flows in asymmetric metric spaces

This article is concerned with gradient flows in asymmetric metric spaces, that is, spaces with a topology induced by an asymmetric metric. Such asymmetry appears naturally in many applications, e.g., in mathematical models for materials with hysteresis. A framework of asymmetric gradient flows is established under the assumption that the metric is weakly lower semicontinuous in the second argu...
